Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 9, 2026

Terkip (terkip.net) is a web tools collection built to reduce friction in everyday digital work. We respect your privacy and aim to explain clearly which personal data we process, why we process it, and how you can control it.

1. Tool usage and local processing

Most Terkip tools run entirely in your browser. Content entered into tools is not sent to, processed by, or stored on our servers by default. Conversion, generation, and analysis workflows happen on your device.

2. Account information

When you create an account, we store your email address, display name, and a bcrypt-hashed version of your password. If you choose Google sign-in, the name, email address, and profile image URL provided by Google may also be attached to your account. We do not have access to your plain text password or your Google account password.

3. Session and security data

When you sign in, secure session records are created to protect your account. This may include your session identifier, IP address, user-agent information, and session lifetime details. The tp_session cookie is protected with HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite attributes.

4. Account-linked usage data

For signed-in users, tool usage counts are kept so that personal usage statistics can be shown on the profile page. This data supports the product feature itself and is not shared with third parties.

5. Consent-based cookies and similar storage

Terkip manages cookies and similar storage through a category-based consent model:

  • Necessary: Required for sessions, security, and the core site flow. These items operate independently from optional consent.
  • Preferences: Stores persistent interface settings such as theme, tool layout, and dismissed announcements. This category is off by default.
  • Analytics: Controls Google Analytics loading and analytics cookies. This category is off by default and is enabled only with explicit consent.

You can choose through the banner shown on your first visit and later update or withdraw consent from the Cookie Preferences action in the footer. For the detailed cookie list, see the Cookie Policy.

6. Third-party services

  • Google Analytics: Loaded only when you allow analytics consent and used for anonymized usage measurement. Google Privacy Policy
  • Google OAuth: Offered as an optional sign-in method and used only for identity verification with basic profile data.

7. Data security

  • All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.
  • Passwords are one-way hashed with bcrypt.
  • Session cookies are protected with HttpOnly and Secure flags.
  • Application and database access is restricted by authorization boundaries.

8. Retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. Deletion is irreversible, and account information, session records, favorites, usage statistics, and related user preferences are permanently removed. Expired session records are also cleaned up automatically.

9. Your rights

Under applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to know whether your data is being processed, request information, ask for correction or deletion, and object to certain forms of automated processing.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. When material changes are made, the revised date on this page will be updated.
